Soooooooooo, needle and thread, I have an idea. I don't know if it's a good idea but it's an idea.
Remember last week, when I was talking about me doing videos? Well, I got to thinking after I wrote that. I started wondering if there were people out their that would be interested in creating videos for Enpde songs.
I know we couldn't pay anyone in much more than gratitude. But if you were someone who wanted to do something with music without running into those pesky copyright infringement things, Enpde could help. I am not sure off hand but I would say there's probably close to twenty tracks he has made available that need a corresponding video. Some do have videos, but only three are unique. Many are just like the Dr. Niehbuhr video below. It works, but it's not very interesting.
So, we couldn't pay you but we could certainly give you the credits and the links which in this day and age are weirdly valuable. We've never really turned a profit off of this. Hell, I don't think we've covered our cost in some place BUT we have had a lot of fun and met a lot of colorful and sometimes wonderful people which solidly means a lot to me. Just something that I am kicking around in me gulliver.
What do you think? There are three tracks currently available for free download at enpde.com that you could play with and if you were interested in one of the other tracks I would totally hook you up with a file to work from. If you are interested, leave a comment...or a direct message at enpde.com...or just surprise me and upload it to the Enpde channel on YouTube (if such a crazy thing is even possible!). I dunno, maybe I am dreaming but this soo seems feasible if I could just hook in with the right people.<3GG

Ghostwriting Groupie: I Want My NPD (or why I always have a song stuck in my head)
I apologize for getting off the every Thursday track. I started working again and well, you know how that goes sometimes. Who cares about the internet when your bed has comfy pillows!
Amazingly somehow over the course of the last two weeks, Mr. Enpde has managed to finish a bunch of tracks for your listening approval. You can check them out at enpde.com. No download necessary if you listen through the Reverb playa.
You know what happens now? If you give a musician a completed track, he's gonna want a video.
This is how and why (partly) I always have tunes running through my head. First, while they are being produced I hear them. I hear every snippet, every edit, every change, every incessant editing of the same ten seconds of music. Sometimes, by the time there is a finished product, I don't even recognize it as a NEW track.
Then, there's the road test (aka an excuse to drive around town late at night with the stereo cranked.)
So, if you throw in a video. Whew! The "I Want my NPD" video, hmm, I don't remember how long it took me to do. Four or five hours, maybe longer when you factor in finding the public domain material in the first place. I think this particular piece had an actual run time closer to 30 minutes, so it had to be crunched down to five minutes and forty one seconds. Matched up, edited, cut, re-edited, re-cut, scrapped completely, start over, cut, splice, flair, flair, replay, replay, work feverishly on the same damn ten seconds because the transition is crucial, coffee, obsessive focus, dereliction of duties, cut, cut, transition, effect, voila! done.
So that my friends is why I always have a song stuck in my head. Want to give it a try? You can post your results to the Enpde channel on You Tube if you want. Strictly a love offering, for the love of music, for the love of video.
That's all for now <3GG
